Matthew Salthouse
Chief Executive Officer
Matthew has over 25 years of executive experience in the natural resource sector and has been integral in developing and operating gold mines across Asia Pacific, including the Didipio and Toka Tindung gold mines. He has successfully originated and executed a range of capital market and corporate development initiatives, focusing on commodities and mining in Asia Pacific. Matthew is also the current Commercial/Mining Director for PEC and has previously held senior executive roles in various public mining ventures, including OceanaGold Corporation (TSX: OGC), Archipelago Resources plc and REA Holdings plc. Mr. Salthouse holds a B.Ec. and LL.B. from Monash University.
Martin Cooper
Acting Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Cooper has over 35 years' finance experience including over 20 years as Group CFO of various public companies listed on the Australian, UK and Norwegian stock exchanges. In addition, he spent one year as CEO of REC, a US$600 million revenue solar panel manufacturer.Over a long career, Mr. Cooper has developed a broad suite of skill sets of immediate benefit to KRL, with substantial experience in raising debt and equity. In addition, he has strong credentials in mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and risk management; especially for fast growth companies operating in the Asian region.
Mr. Cooper is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants England & Wales, having qualified with Deloitte in 1990 and has an MBA from Henley Management College.
Graeme Duncan
Chief Operating Officer
Graeme has over 45 years’ experience as a Mining Engineer, initially with operational experience at several coal mines in Australia, and latterly as a consultant. He has extensive experience in reserve calculation, mine design, feasibility studies, bankable documents, independent technical reviews and project valuations. Graeme is a member of the AusIMM and has the appropriate relevant qualifications, experience and independence to satisfy the requirements of “Expert” as defined under the VALMIN Code and as a “Competent Person” under the JORC Code.
Overall, Graeme’s experience has covered a breadth of roles that have served mining operations in both the coal and gold sectors, banks and financial institutions, investors, valuations, due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, mine closures and litigations.
Jim Wilkins
General Manager – Corporate Services
Jim is a senior human resources and organisational services professional with over 25 years of experience gained from within corporate and operational environments, across multiple international jurisdictions, in the mining, oil and gas, and construction industries.
He has held senior management positions in Australia and PNG with Thiess, Clough, InterOil and on the Wafi-Golpu JV. His expertise extends across a broad range of organisational services and he has led and coordinated initiatives that have contributed to successful and sustainable corporate and project objectives within operational and resource development environments. Jim’s exposure in PNG has been in the construction phase of PNG LNG, and in the development phases of a new LNG project (now Papua LNG), and mining projects, Frieda River and Wafi-Golpu.
Giuseppe (Pino) Perone
Corporate Secretary
Pino is a lawyer by background and has extensive corporate experience that stems from practicing as corporate counsel, as well as serving as an executive and director, for various public and private companies in the resource and technology sectors. He currently acts as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of TAG Oil Ltd. (TSXV: TAO), as President, Corporate Secretary and a director of Interlapse Technologies Corp. (TSXV: INLA), as CEO, CFO, Corporate Secretary and a director of PLB (TSXV: PLB.P) and as a director of McorpCX, Inc. (TSXV: MCX). Pino holds a B.A. from the University of Victoria and an LL.B. from the University of Alberta and has been a member in good standing of the Law Society of British Columbia since 2006.
Graeme Fleming
Principal Geologist
Graeme is a senior minerals exploration geologist with over 35 years’ experience in precious and base metals investigation within orogenic terrains of Australasia. He has participated in and led a number of highly successful campaigns from grass roots exploration programs (discovery of the Miwah Au-Cu prospect, Aceh), through initial diamond drill programs (Co-o Au deposit, Mindanao) to more advanced & mine development programs (Toka Tindung Au mine, North Sulawesi). Graeme is a member of AIG and holds a B. App. Sc. (Geol) from the NSW University of Technology.
